Melanoma is the deadliest form of skin cancer. While it only accounts for about 3-5% of all skin cancers diagnosed in the United States each year, sadly about 75% of all cancer-related deaths from skin cancer are from melanoma. One of every eight people will die in the USA this year from melanoma. It is one of the fastest growing types of cancer and yet it IS preventable!
